Knowing What’s Important

KEYGroup’s research team conducted a survey of more than 1,000 Millennials and asked them to rank the most important determinant of an attractive workplace. The results may surprise you.

Health benefits was listed as the highest-ranked factor followed by work-life balance, promotional opportunities and then salary.

To really engage Millennials on a deeper level, companies need to offer more than typical benefits.

For example, some companies offer an Emergency Assistance Fund, which pays employees if they experience a tragic event resulting in financial hardship.

Many companies provide flextime, reduced work schedules, part-time schedules, job sharing, telecommuting, pet insurance, and financial help for childcare. Others offer memberships to fitness centers and work-life programs.

These benefits can greatly help reduce employee turnover, especially among your Millennial workers.

What benefits do you use to attract potential employees? What is the most important determinant of an attractive workplace to you?
