Kenneth J. Kovach
Kenneth Kovach is a senior consultant and manager of the Cleveland office for KEYGroup®. He has built upon his advanced studies in sociology and organization development to develop a 28-year professional practice in the fields of human resources development and organization development. He has special expertise in community sociology, ethnic and minority group relations, leadership development, creativity and innovation, strategic planning and organizational learning.
Ken has extensive experience in designing and presenting education and training programs for all levels and ranges of employees, managers, and senior-level executives in business, government, and the private sector. As a group facilitator, he has conducted hundreds of sessions across the United States and internationally.
Ken's international assignments have involved work in Austria, Poland, Russia, and Ukraine. He has established an ongoing Management Development Program as a joint venture with a private school of Business and Administration in the Volgograd region of Russia.
Special assignments have involved work for the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, U.S. Commission on Neighborhoods, U.S. Department of Commerce/Bureau of the Census, CARITAS/Catholic Relief Services, United Way International, and Ohio Commission on Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management. He serves as the senior member of City Council in Shaker Heights, Ohio.
Ken has served as Director of Executive Education at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and developed a highly successful national think tank program. As Director of the Regional Training Center of Cleveland's United Way Services, he was a co-developer of the BoardWALK Series for trustees of organizations. He has served in numerous leadership roles in professional and community associations including the American Society for Training and Development as Regional Director, Chairman of the Brain/Mind Network, and President of the Greater Cleveland Chapter.
His formal academic work includes graduate studies in comparative theology at religious institutions in the United States, France, and Switzerland. He has a masters degree in sociology and has completed course work for a doctorate degree. He has bachelor degrees in sociology, psychology, and divinity.
Based on his extensive and diverse background, he is a frequently invited guest speaker for a wide variety of audiences.
